About me: dedicated to veterinary care
Hello, my name is [[name]]. I am a 19-year-old biology major and pre-health student based in Pueblo, Colorado, actively pursuing my pathway into veterinary medicine. Welcome to my biology class portfolio documenting my hands-on clinical, rescue, and agricultural experiences.

My journey and career goals
I have always had a deep soft spot for animals and an unwavering desire to protect their health. My ultimate goal is to become an equine vet or a wildlife vet. Whether treating performance horses or supporting wild species, I am committed to advancing animal welfare through dedicated veterinary practice.

Work ethic, clinic, and farm experience
Through volunteering at horse rescues, assisting in veterinary clinics, and helping on my family's farms—including assisting with livestock and feline procedures—I have learned the importance of true hard work. You cannot half-measure veterinary care; you must do every job correctly, push through challenges, and show up for every animal.

Beyond the classroom: hobbies and passions
When I am not focused on biology lectures or hands-on clinical practice, I spend my time horseback riding and practicing mounted archery. I also express my creative side through drawing and writing, which balance my scientific coursework and deepen my bond with horses.
"The most important skill in working with animals is hard work. You cannot do a halfway job and expect good results; you have to do things right and push through every challenge."
